A Bit About Me
“Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength”
Hi my name is Linda, mother of two and sister of many.
"I'm not your traditional therapist or coach; I'm more like your personal cheerleader and confidant. My mission? To help you conquer life's challenges with a smile and a dash of humor. 🎉
I was born in Burundi and grew up there until I was 10 years old. Because of the genocide war in 1993 until 1999, I fled to Belgium where I grew up in Flanders.
From an early age, I knew I wanted to do work that would make a difference in people's lives. This interest led me to study Behavioural Sciences, Coaching and Trauma Therapy and eventually to a full-time job. As a therapist and coach, I am committed to the well-being of my clients and do everything I can to help them. I care about all my clients and do everything I can to help them find the answers they are looking for. Since 2019, I have worked with all kinds of clients, each with unique problems.

Metacognitive therapy 08/06/2022
Metacognitive Therapy is considered to be one of the most effective forms of psychotherapies for treating mood disorders such as depression. A metacognitive therapy would work like this – an individual is trained to identify and disagree with negative thoughts when they surface in their head. Skills are also taught so that the person can replace these automatically activated thoughts with more realistic, balanced beliefs.
THE CONSCIOUS PARENT
Parenting is a deeply rewarding but challenging job. It can be easy to slip into patterns, with negative results for both the child and the parents.
Conscious parenting calls for patience, understanding, and awareness. Most important, conscious parenting involves being intentional about the parenting decisions you make.
Many problems in young people can be avoided if we understand young people better, gain a better understanding of the obstacles they face.
The corona crisis is hard for young people and more and more young people are struggling with negative thoughts and feelings.
But growing up itself, puberty, is also a period in which problems can arise. Preventive action, quick intervention and understanding are important to prevent worse.
When young people have developed a psychological problem, psychological help (psychologist, psychiatrist) is essential. This is beyond the competence of a coach.
However, youth coaches can play a very important role in guiding young people and their parents so that worse problems can be prevented.
